Poor Little Rich Gays Saturated with Majesty This Week

Last night Poor Little Rich Gays were at the Royal Academy reception for artistic greatnesses attended by the Queen last night. Harry Rollo texted: ‘Have met Majesty.’ It turned out he meant Ottolenghi – well, we know how central he is to Poor Little Rich Gay life. Rufus Pitman, our novelist and columnist, is the other Poor Little Rich Gay known to have been present. Robert Nevil and Reggie Cresswell were surely also there but unannounced.

    I met Ottolenghi and also the more mysterious Palestinian business partner Sami, and recommended that he close down his Islington branch and open one in Clapham. He laughed merrily.

    I also exchanged shoe banter with Arlene Phillips (we were both in electric pink suede).

    Harry did not meet Ottolenghi, but was corrected in nomenclature by Majesty Herself for referring to “Julian Fellowes”. “LORD Fellowes,” Majesty said.
