The Private View was on Saturday night: Beatrice has done some outstanding new portraits, one with a Klimt feel. The previous show in the gallery was Hernan Bas.

But oh! Flavia, the gallery’s owner. What a greatness! 83, in cream Chanel, with Ferragamo clucks (we hope). For hours and hours, absolutely the hostess, chin up, face forward, giving, giving, giving. Then, onto the restaurant, the same.

She has a boyfriend of 60, who carried her shoes (she has a second best Ferragamo pair, identical, for the streets), never cooks at home, only eats in restaurants where she takes only steak, beans and grappa.
