Yesterday I raved with Bruce MacBain and Tancredo Viamare round various queer-created (it’s all right to say that of non-out gays of yesteryear) statelies in the Hampshire neighbourhood now belonging to the National Trust. Poor Little Rich Gays have made a massive contribution in this area – Strawberry Hill, Hidcote and yesterday Hinton Amptner. We were accompanied by Professor Sir Lewis Buller, huge in botany, and Roland Jackson, huge in fabric reweaving for restoration purposes. Massive company.
